M/S Tisnaren was sunk by torpedoes and machinegunned by Italian submarine Capellini some 750 miles from Brazilian coast. All passengers were safely plucked into 3 lifeboats including one woman. The Italian sub did not surfaced to interrogate crewmembers or render any assistance and was not seen any longer. Later in the same day the boats were spotted by the merchantmen Green Moutain which rescued them and  eight days later they were put ashore in Trinidad.
