Captured 30 JUN 41 by Cruiser HMS Dunedin east off St. Paul rocks, Brazil. Transferred to the M.o.W.T.
On January 24th, 1943, she reported that her rudder had broken during a storm and that she was sinking. She carried a crew of 71 and 17 passengers. No further notice was obtained from the ship. She sailed from Cardiff bound to New York and sank in pos. 50º 17"N 40º 55"W. All crew and passengers were lost
