On 19/Dec/43, Commandant Drogou rescued the master, 67 crew members, ten gunners and 14 passengers from Brith Merchant Phemius sunk by U-515 in pos. 05º 01”N 00º 17” W and landed them at Takoradi on 20 December. Phemius was loaded with 4544 tons of government stores including general cargo and mail.
