PERU -  The master, 42 crew members and 7 gunners were picked up by the Uniwaleco and landed at Freetown.




PHEMIUS - The master, 67 crew members, 10 gunners and 14 passengers were picked up by FFL Commandant Drogou (J 3040) and landed at Takoradi.




PIAKO - The master, 62 crew members and 2 gunners were picked up by HMS Bridgewater (L 01) (Cdr H.F.C. Leftwick) and landed at Freetown.




QUEBEC CITY - The master, 37 crew members and 3 gunners were picked up by HMS Decoy (H 75) (LtCdr G.I.M. Balfour, RN) and landed at Freetown.




QUEEN ANNE - 18 survivors were picked up by HMS St. Zeno (FY 280) (Lt J.K. Craig) and landed at Capetown. 22 survivors made landfall at Bredasdorp near Cape Agulhas.




QUEEN MAUD - The master, 38 crew members and 4 gunners were picked up by the Portuguese merchant Mirandella, transferred to HMS Dragon (D 46) (Capt R.J. Shaw MBE) and landed at Freetown.




ROBERT HUGHES -  The master and 16 crew members were rescued by harbour craft at Lagos.




RODNEY STAR - 83 survivors were picked up after six days by HMS Boreas (H 77) (LtCdr D.H. Maitland-Makgill Crichton) and Batna and landed at Takoradi on 23 May.




SAMSO – The master and 18 crewmembers in three lifeboats landed at Los Island, French Guinea on 3 May, were taken to Conakry and thence to Freetown




SARTHE - The master, 48 crew members and 8 gunners were picked up by the South African whaler HMSAS Vereeniging (T 62) and landed at Simonstown.




SCOTTISH PRINCE - The master, 34 crew members and 3 gunners made landfall at Cape Palmas, Ivory Coast and were brought to Freetown by HMCS Weyburn (K 173) (Lt Thomas M.W. Golby). 




SIAM II - The master, 36 crew members and 2 gunners were picked up on 1 October by Nagpore and landed at Freetown.  




SILVERMAPLE - 47 crew members, 9 gunners and one passenger were picked up by HMS Kildwick (Z 06) (Lt P. Pannell) and landed at Takoradi.




SIRE - The master and 45 crew members were picked up by HMS Marguerite (K 54) (LtCdr A.N. Blundell) and landed at Freetown. The picture shows sister ship CORABELLA




ST. HELENA - The master, 35 crew members, 2 gunners and 3 passengers were picked up by HMS Wishart (D 67) (Cdr E.T. Cooper) and landed at Freetown.




SURAT - The master, 58 crew members and 2 gunners were picked up by the British hopper barge Foremost 102 and landed at Freetown.
