Identified as the 8,715-ton British Royal Mail refrigeration ship Natia, in ballast from London to Buenos Aires, with crew of eighty-five, one of whom had lost his life, the eighty-four survivors, including one man who would later succumb to his injuries on board the raider and be buried at sea.
