Recommissioned May 1 1930, decommissioned December 16 1936.


Recommissioned October 16 1939 and assigned to Neutrality Patrol.


Reclassified Auxiliary AG-115 June 30 1945.


Decommissioned October 31 1945.


Stricken November 16 1945.


Fate: Sold July 17 1947 and broken up for scrap.

From October 1942, DD 154 ELLIS also guarded convoy routes between Trinidad and Brazil, and in March 1943 was assigned to transatlantic convoys. The remainder of the war, Ellis guarded carriers training pilots, experimented with torpedo aircraft twice made escort voyages to Recife, Brazil. She was decommissioned at Norfolk 31 October 1946 and sold 20 June 1947.
