Completed in February 1920. On 14 October 1931 the Robin Goodfellow ran aground due to a navigational error in the Delaware River and remained beached south of New Castle for nearly two months.


At 02.12 hours on 25 Jul, 1944, the unescorted Robin Goodfellow (Master Bjarne Bjornsgaard) was torpedoed and sunk by U-862 in the South Atlantic some 1,040 km off Santa Helena Is.The British motor merchant Priam received a distress signal, but none of the eight officers, 33 crewmen and 27 armed guards (the ship was armed with one 4in, one 3in and five 20mm guns) survived
