At 17.17 hours on 6 May 1941, the Dunkwa (Master John William Andrew), dispersed from convoy OB-310, was torpedoed and sunk by U-103 216 miles west-northwest of Freetown. Five crew members and three gunners were lost. The master, 37 crew members and one gunner were picked up by the Dutch merchant Polydorus and landed at Oban.
