Convoy O.S. 22 (12 ships) arrived at Freetown, escorted by H.M.S. WESTON, H.M.S. TOTLAND, H.M.S. SENNEN, H.M.S. GORLESTON, H.M.S. CYCLAMEN, H.M.S. VIOLET, and H.M.S. SNOWDROP. H.M.S. AUBRETIA left the southbound port of the convoy to search for survivors from S.S. MUNCASTER CASTLE, locating them on 2nd and bringing them to Freetown.


Wednesday, 21st October

CYCLAMEN arrived and sailed Point Noire.


Wednesday, 28th October

CYCLAMEN arrived Freetown escorting GUARDIAN for the South.


Sunday, 8th November

H.M.S. ARMERIA and H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Gibraltar with GUARDIAN.


Saturday, 22nd November

H.M.S. ARMERIA and H.M.S. CYCLAMEN left Gibraltar for Freetown.


Thursday, 26th November

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN left H.M.S. ARMERIA and proceeded to join LADY DENNISON PENDER


Friday, 27th November

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN relieved H.M.S. BURDOCK as escort to LADY DENNISON PENDER.

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Bathurst.


Saturday, 9th January 1943

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN with M.L.s 278 and 289 sailed from Freetown escorting H.T. HAI LEE to Bathurst.


Monday, 11 January

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN with M.L.s 261 and 289 arrived Bathurst escorting H.T. HAI LEE.

H.M.Ships CYCLAMEN, BIRDLIP, BUTSER, FANDANGO sailed from Bathurst for Dakar to reinforce escorts of northbound French convoy.

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Duala from Lagos escorting S.S. SANGARA in tow of tug CHARON.

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Boma to dock.


12th March, Friday

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Pointe Noire after docking at Boma; fuelled and sailed again escorting S.S. SIRANGER to Takoradi.

H.M.S. CYCLAMEN arrived Takoradi from Pointe Noire.

H.M. Ships VIRGINIA, ARMERIA, CYCLAMEN, and THYME sailed from Freetown to reinforce the anti submarine screen of Admiralty Floating Dock XXIV.


 Wednesday, 28th April

H.M. Ships VIRGINIA, ARMERIA, CYCLAMEN, THYME, and SNOWDROP with H.M.M.L.s 296, 289, 209, 266, and 287 returned Freetown together H.M. Ships ALCANTARA, MILFORD, AMARANTHUS, TAMARISK, WOODRUFF, MORRIS DANCE, and YESTOR from New Orleans and Trinidad, all escorting Admiralty Floating Dock XXIV being towed by Tugs FRISKY, ZWARTE ZEE, ORIANA, AIMWELL, and CROCODILE in company.


Thursday, 29th April

H.M. Ships CORINTHIAN, VIRGINIA, THYME, CYCLAMEN, and ARMERIA sailed from Freetown for Takoradi and Lagos escorting Convoy S.T. 63 (twenty ships).
