During the Second World War, between 1942 and 1945, she made numerous commercial trips and personnel transportation, sailing independently or as part of convoys, subordinated to the Naval Command Center. During this period, the ship was equipped with two more lifeboats for rescue. On April 8, 1944, she was reclassified as a Survey Ship later to return as Auxiliary Ship category.
